Writing Projects in Progress:

Backpacking isn’t always glamorous and it isn’t always fun. If you’re looking for relaxation, then the term you’re looking for is vacation. They’re great too, and are usually well deserved, especially after going on one of these trips. Traveling is one of the most rewarding things you can do with your life. The highest highs and the lowest lows.

What if you could only tell the story of traveling through the pages of your passports?

Crossing borders is definitely one of the most stressful and least glamorous parts of traveling, especially when you’re backpacking. Sometimes these events last minutes and are hardly worth mentioning again. Sometimes this means getting pulled off the train in the middle of the night by the army or sleeping on the concrete outside of a bus with a pack of dogs for protection.

Hopefully, that teaser was enough to gain your interest… this novel is an ongoing project, and hopefully coming soon.

This is not a Guide Book (2022)

Travel sometimes takes you to the most beautiful places you’ve ever seen. Sometimes it gets you into trouble. The highs and lows of travel turn into the best stories. When two best friends decide they want to travel the world and aren’t afraid of anything, things usually work out. We both lived to tell the stories, so how bad could it be?

What happens when you try to cross the border without a visa? Well, it depends on what country you’re trying to get into. For us, it meant being detained, interrogated, and eventually deported. The problem was, we actually didn’t know where we were and no one else did either.

Or what happens when you fall asleep on a train in India and wake up 6 or 7 hours from where you had intended to go?

You’re going to have to read to find out. This collection of short stories have already been lived and re-told many times, but now they’re finding a place in print.
